Oil is poured into the basin of water. This feather duster shows the effects of oil on a bird's feathers. Oclansorb soaks up the oil instantly. The oil is absorbed into the Oclansorb fiber. Oclansorb prevents the oil from sticking to a bird's feathers. Once the oil has been absorbed, Oclansorb is easily removed, leaving only clean, clear water behind.

Oclansorb has open chambers which encapsulate hydrocarbons, rather than attaching to outer surfaces as they do with clay-based products.

No leaching or residue will be left to clean up.

HOW TO USE ON WATER

On still water apply as evenly as possible until the oil no longer shows through. On flowing water, use a funnel boom to concentrate the oil before applying Oclansorb. Creating a little turbulence is helpful.

HOW TO USE ON LAND

Oclansorb is a very light material that can be applied easily by hand, brush applicator, spreader, or power blower. Spread on sufficient material so that the oil no longer shows through. Brush the Oclansorb into the spill, it works on contact, and sweep it up for disposal. Oclansorb works equally well on land on a dry or wet surface.
